I love walking. Today I took Mr. Pegram out on a 6 miles gentle amble across the south downs in West Sussex close to Storrington to stretch our legs. We took Mr. Pegram’s dog, Summer, with us. My planned stroll took us around the famous Black Patch hill where Neolithic flint mines have been found and along a route close to Long Furlong where half way down was an old toll house, now a private residence.
It was a splendid day for a walk and we are planning much longer ones, as the meager six miles seemed to have short changed us when we arrived back at the car.
